If someone is in danger
Call 911 first. We cannot send emergency help.
Report from the app
On any post, Moment, message or profile, open the menu and choose Report. You can also Block the person so they can no longer call, text or message you. Reports from the app reach our moderation queue with the item attached, so this is the fastest way.
Report by email
Email [email protected] with the subject Abuse report. Include:
- the eFone number or username involved;
- the date and time of the call, text or post;
- what happened, and a screenshot if you have one.
You don't need an eFone account to report abuse. We don't tell the reported person who reported them.
Spam and scam calls or texts
Forward spam texts to 7726 (SPAM) from your phone, and report the eFone number to us as above. If you lost money to a scam, also contact your bank and the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre or, in the US, the FTC.
Child safety
We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material or the exploitation of children. Do not download, copy or forward the material. Report it in the app or by email as above, and report it directly to Cybertip.ca (Canada) or the NCMEC CyberTipline (US). We remove such material, keep what the law requires, and report it to the authorities.
What happens next
Our team reviews every report. We may remove content, limit or suspend the account, or release the number. We may not be able to tell you the outcome, for the other person's privacy.
Law enforcement
Requests from police or other authorities go to [email protected] with the subject Law enforcement request. We respond to valid legal process as described in our Privacy Policy.
Other help
For anything else, see Support. To report a security issue with eFone itself, email [email protected].
